Cool. I know they run FiOs to people's houses. I was just saying unless your paying for it to be installed, it's not running to everyone's house. In most cases, they run copper to each house because it's WAY cheaper. It's cool that you're getting FiOs, (kinda jealous) but you're also paying way more than other ppl. So really, your case is rare, but becoming more common.

The developer worked for this summer is actually laying FiOs cables under each project so that when FiOs finally reaches them, the infrastructure is already there.

Yeah, the TW tech that came to the house this weekend said that they run fiber optic to the tap in the street, and then its just regular copper coax to the everyones house.. Kinda lame...

i have no FiOS or DSL option in my complex .
I moved this convo over here so that we keep the COD4 thread clear of our ability to digress lol..

Anyway, what about direct TV.. Don't they offer some type of internet option? I thought I heard of something a while back that they do.. I could be wrong tho

they run it to a box like this one. They'll install it in your garage, I still have the FiOs box in my garage even though we don't have Fios anymore

don't think they charge you to run fiber to your house, that's how they're trying to sell fios.. but verizon is going to be totalled screwed because yes it is way more expensive that way.
