Internet Tuners: Favorite beater cars turned into track cars for under $4000
What are some beater cars you can pick up and lightly set up for the track for less than $4000?
Name that car and find a used car listing.
List out potential mods and prices
Keep it under $4000 and has to be smog legal. You are driving it on the street.
1990 Nissan 300zx TT
http://losangeles.craigslist.org/lac/car/651795442.html
Car is $3500
Oil change and plugs $40
Brake pads (Axxis) $30
New Tires 225/50/16 (Motorcraft Avenger ZHP) $296
Total so far is $3866

Good day everyone. As the title of the thread states, I have a 1994 Civic CX, N.A.S.A ready. I purchased this about in Aug. of 2007 and it has done nothing but sit. At the present time I do not have any pics and I have just now decided to sell the car. It's raining here in nothern VA, so I don't really have the chance to take any pics. Will do so as soon as the rain holds off. I will try to give the best description I can.
1994 Honda Civic CX hatchback. The car was completely gutted and has nothing on the interior. The few things that remain are, the dash and the cluster. The pass. side seat rail has been removed, as well as the driver and pass. windows. The car comes equip with a 6pt roll cage. The roll cage and all the removal of the windows, heating units, seat rails, and interior paneling was done by the previous owner... The civic has the stock power plant inside (b15b8), and suspension, but does have after market header, intake and Apexi exhaust. It has been resprayed the factory color, which is red. I have noticed the clear coat is starting to peel on the hood and fenders, but is an easy fix. The car starts and run great. I would love to keep it but I just don't have the time for the sport.
I purchased the car for $2000 without the exhaust and about 4 sets of Toyo circuit slicks, and are hoping to get somewhere around that. The only down fall of the car is that it does not have a title. The car was last registered in NC, and a title could be obtained with a few piece of paperwork filled out. I am taking reasonable offers for the car. If you have any questions you can email me at Donald.Whitcraft@hotmail.com, or call 571.926.0909.

Keep it under $4000 and has to be smog legal. You are driving it on the street.
