Hosed on a Kartboy short throw install

I'm up early on a saturday trying to get a kartboy short throw shift level into my 02 wrx, but i think they sent me the wrong friggin part. The part of the lever that attaches to the linkage is way too fat. Does anybody in Socal know of a shop around here that sells Kartboy?

I'd rather not reassemble my car and have to go through this after a few weeks when i get a new part from the mail order shop i bought this from.

Thanks.

i think Ferdie only sells Cobb. I searched and found his website and didn't see any kartboy. i'm off to norm reeves...they say they've got a few...they're having a rally today too, so everything's on sale.

wish me luck...

Yeah, Tom is a great guy. Once my rear sway bar link snapped and he sent me a replacment for $5 no questions asked. IIRC, they're in San Diego, so he could probably send you one quick.

i made the drive down to temecula and got the shifter from John at Norm Reeves. He also helped me install it. Big thumbs up to John and Norm Reeves for helping me out of a pinch. On to the bushings.....

San Jose's way to far to drive in a day. I'm not sure what a coilover kid is. All I've got left is to install my bushings and i'm set. So far, the short throw shifter is sweet.

So there was no problem with the part? How much they charge for the install?

They are sweet - love mine

my car is an 02 wrx and apparently, some of them are built differently? the wrx shift lever i got would not fit on my car so i had to go get a different kartboy lever. it is great how it' shortens the throws.
