Hey Kamaaina Mike...how ya doin? Aloha SoCal i-clubbers! State workers here in Hawaii have a similar option, I used to work and hour extra every day so I only have to work for four hours on Friday. Nothing like starting the weekend early.

Kinda late, but i'll answer seri's question.
9/80s are great because you get every other Friday off, which essentially is a 3day weekend. However, you work 1 extra hour a day for 2 work weeks plus 8 hours on the friday you do work. Our company pays bi-weekly. If your company pays weekly, you probably won't be able to do it. As for OT, if you work on friday for 8 hours, it becomes OT for us. If you decide to work OT on another day, you'll be working on top of the 9 hours or whatever is required for that day.
Pros: 1 extra day off to do whatever you want.
Cons: If you happen to shift priorities to the off-Friday, most of that friday will be spent to take care of things that you normally took care of during the week.
