I doing about 1500 to 1800 calories.
cereal: 1 small bowl Special K or Grapenut flakes
1 cup orange juice
2 slice of low cal toast
use spray butter
1 cup skim milk
Lunch: chicken breast
vegi - string beans
carrots
broc
Orange
Dinner Lean cusine Less that 300 calories
2 slice low cal toast
Fruit or something light.
Try to eat dinner before 6pm
I walk 2 to 3 miles in the morning. I will start running when I drop another 10 to 15 lb. (Too much stress on the knees)
If you are running hard you need to bump the calories up t o1700 2000 depending on how strenuous.
The key is to keep your calorie intake right below your operating level.
Operating level: lets say your body uses 1800 calories a day. If you eat 1700 calories you body will need another 100. If will get the additional 100 from your fat. If you eat 2000 then you have +200 and it will go to fat. This is an example.
Don't think that cutting back to a 1000 will be better. It won't because if your body see that you are not getting enough calories it thinks you are starving and to protect it self automatically. It stores the food directly to fat.
You want to play your body so it uses your fat for energy after it uses the food you ate. So, it is like giving your body just enough food to keep you going but not enough to sustain from your intake.
Play that game and your body will burn fat.
