Thats how our building is at the moment seri with AC running when it is cold... But our 5 years of engineering education has culminated in this:

you should see how we reconfigured our diffuser. we have a manila folder directing the flow (we took out the diffuser since it restricting flow too much and blowing air to the window).

Yep.. Used the manila folder trick in an older building. It had one of those circular vents with the rings in order to spread the flow out downward, but it still landed on top of my body so i took a manila folder half and redirected it to a wall. Manila folder, unused test kapton tape and paper clips work wonders.
