CEL error :(
Let me just give you the info. First I put on the blitz cat back exhaust. Second I put on the AEM cai. Everything was ok for like 2 weeks. Then I put on the cat-less perrin down pipe. I didn’t want to mess with moving the o2 sensor so I took it to easy street and they put it on for me. I drove it off the lot with everything running good. Everything stayed good for like 2 more weeks. Then one day the CEl just turned on. Acceleration and boost feel fine. I was just wondering if anyone had something like this happen. I don’t know if I should take it to the dealer or to easystreet. Im guessing its just something with the o2 senser but im not expert. What can I do to check other than take it back to the dealer ??? if that’s my last resort are they going to yell at me for moding the car. I don’t think it would be coverd under warranty.

hey donk,
ok, wrx has the greddy cat back, custom up-pipe, & dawes device boost controller (17psi). My car lived in sfo for a little over a year, during the drive down it threw a cel when i hit full boost @ about 4k rpm. The cel stayed on for another 7 days, my friend/previous owner said that a cel form full boost @4k rpm was normal & that it would go off in a day or so. So i started to get a little worried when it didnt go off in said time. So, what i did was reset the ecu, unplug the battery cables, step on the brake to drain the left over power, wait a few seconds, then put everything back, & start engine. Ah yes, no cel. But the car felt slower, i hear that the wrx ecu tends to "learn" things so maybe that was why i felt the loss in power. But, yeah, every now & then i do get a cel whenever i hit 100mph in 5th. Fuel cuts off & cel lights up. But, it usually goes away very quickly, always less than 24hrs. In hindsight, i would now guess that the cel had stayed on for soo long since the car wasnt used to the climate difference between sfo & so-cal.
