I might be moving from the Bay Area to Socal in as soon as a couple of weeks. Southgate is the city, it's a bit under central LA in LA county (from what I saw on the maps). Just wondering who's in this area and surrounding areas? I'm pretty envolved with the Bay Area meets and if I do make the move to Socal I'd be looking to check everyone out down there also!

Ahhh South gay, the taco and BJ capitol of east LA county. I live their part time. Welcome...hope you're latin active, cause that's pretty much the majority in south gate...we'll aside from the cops that will beat you down if you jay walk or something.

Yeah Richmond is the ghetto. I've lived in East Oakland also. I live in the hills of richmond though. Quite different from the flat area.

I'm all packed up and we leave out tomorrow, we signed the contract to lease for a house in Venice Beach, a mile or so off the beach. We didn't found anything to buy yet.

Hopefully I'll check out that Culver City meet you guys have next week!

^ we really don't know about many areas in LA. I've spent vacation time in Santa Monica and Hunington and that's about it. We found the house online in Southgate, but we found something we liked better in Venice.
