I got an 02 WRX with a 3 good cylinders and 1 with really low compression. Wondering if anyone knew of a cheap reliable rebuild spot in Socal(prefer close to LA)? If I can't rebuild for cheap, I'm just gonna part out my car. Hopefully someone knows someone so I don't have to leave the suby community esp. before attending any events/meets and meeting members.

Thanks for wasting my time and the time of all the other ppl who had to read that uninformative and stupid post. I would say you wasted your time but obviously you had nothing better to do and felt it was a worthy use of your thursday. I recommend a 2.5L :P

 

i was thinking about gruppeS 2.5l sti shortblock or whatever but I got an 03 tranny which are pretty weak. already had 1 tranny fail on me before. Worried that the extra power won't be good for my tranny. And can barely afford to fix/replace motor as it is, let alone getting a STi tranny.

 

If I get my motor rebuilt, its prob best I return to stock while breaking it in, right? Cause if so, I got a lot of crap Imma need to take off...
