My stats for the day I popped my cherry for this season at Boreal on Friday... Session Sheet - 26 Jan
Despite how small the resort is, I'm actually pretty sore from knocking out those 24 runs. Couple big reasons are my conditioning is crap right now and I got slammed down a few times when catching small stumps or rocks when venturing off-piste. Sucks that one of those spills also took out a healthy chunk of P-tex and a teeny sliver of the graphic on my base.

Who else out there has Snowbomb vouchers?
I'm thinking of riding at Sierra next week... either Tues the 13th or Thur the 15th. While I'd love to hold out for when we get more snow during Miracle March, for now I'm OK with smashing groomers and working on riding switch for more than just a few turns.
Since I have a couple Festival vouchers, I hope to use my 2nd one to enjoy a pow day when we get consecutive days of snowfall.

Compared to number purchased on their previous trips, it looks like roughly 10 slots are remaining for the March 4th SnowBus! I bought my voucher over the wknd.
In the meantime, I'm targeting Bear Valley next week... likely Mon the 26th, but I may adjust to Sun the 25th or Tue the 27th. I'm keeping a very close eye on the forecast. After the storm drops some goodies tmrw thru the overnite hours into Fri, another one is expected to roll in during the overnite hours into Mon. By 1st chair on Mon a.m., close to foot of fresh should have fallen, and a few more inches should accumulate during the day!
Anyone else wanna shred some freshies?!?
I'm gonna use my Snowbomb voucher. For those who don't have that freebie, Chevron is offering BuyOneGetOne vouchers with fillup. Complete details & locations here...
Get a voucher for a FREE Bear Valley Ski Lift Ticket with Chevron | Q102.1 This link lists the stations alphabetically by county and city.
Get a voucher for a FREE Bear Valley Ski Lift Ticket at Chevron and experience Pure Mountain Fun! - 98.5 KFOX I have no idea what order is used here, but they list WAY MORE participating stations.

Re: Chevron BOGO vouchers, it's best to call ahead of time to find out if the svc stn has the vouchers. And probably best to call from about 9am to 1pm Mon thru Fri as the manager/owner is likely to be in.
At the stations I called or went to during the evening/night hours (Napa Junction Rd in American Canyon and Gold Hill Rd in Fairfield/Cordelia), the cashiers had no idea about the promo or did not know where the mgr keeps the vouchers. The clerk at the Gold Hill location recommended that I call back during the aforementioned hours.
I ended up scoring a voucher at the Fairgrounds Dr stn in Vallejo. Their display with attached pad of tear-away vouchers is right at the register. So I didn't bother going back to the Gold Hill location. I simply helped myself to a 2nd voucher to go along the receipt I got then.
Oh, and the snow was excellent at Bear on the 27th! And at Sugar Bowl this past Sunday, conds were stellar early on! It got tracked out pretty quickly, but fresh turns were had with a bit of work.
I've got Wood... Kirkwood, that is... on tap for this Fri the 9th... pending wind conditions. Sadly, it's supposed to be pretty gusty.
Then I've got Sierra in the crosshairs for Thur the 15th. It's supposed to dump all day & night on Wed! Even Thur calls for daytime accumulations of 6" or so!

^^^ Woot! Woot!
And that's why, as i said in my previous post, i've got a day trip on Thur targeted!
Oh, and last Fri @ The Wood wasn't bad at all. Just a bit gusty here & there. Unlike the day before, no wind hold at all.

Anybody planning to catch closing day on Sunday April 29 on Mt. Rose or Alpine Meadows?
I can bring my car, just need someone to share driving time and gas

Bump!
Soo, I drove home from SLT on Sunday and am stoked to report that a HUGE section of Highway 88 leading up to Kwood has been repaved Suuper smooth and they haven't even got to the point of the painted lines yet. Long gone are the gigantic meteor craters that would have ended the life of some people's wheels lol.
In other news we're already starting to get new 2019 boards in at the Dublin Any Mtn. Mostly Lib Tech & GNU so far but we are getting some of the Capita & Salomon decks trickling in too.
Still waiting for Burton to get restocked online, need to upgrade the boot situation this season and looking to grab some Ions.
No clue yet what we got in store weather wise for the upcoming 18/19 season but sure hope it crushes last season!!
