I have an extra STi version 7 JDM motor with 10,000 miles available near Boston. This is the EJ207 2.0 liter which makes 276HP in stock form and can be reliably tuned to around 350hp with no mechanical modifications. Improvements over the cheaper EJ205 USA WRX motor include:

Semi-closed deck design
double oil ports in crank
reinforced connecting rods
forged pistons
larger fuel injectors
variable valve timing
sodium filled exhaust valves and hollow intake valves
more aggressive camshaft profile
larger turbocharger

Do you get these often? I have run into some home upgrades right now which makes $$$ tight, but will be interested in one of these set ups in the future.
