So we got a chance to check out European Sleep Design this weekend. Those beds are awesome! My wife wants to get a King, but the bed is $4200

Damn, son.

So we are gonna keep looking around at what else is out there. If there truly is nothing better, we'll probably get that bed, but until we find out for sure we don't like anything else as well, I just can't feel good about spending that much money on a bed. If it lasts the full 10 years they claim, that's > $400/yr for a bed .

It looks like Sealy makes a similar bed - the "SpringFree" which is made from varied thickness and firmnesses of latex foam. The latex is a big part of the ESD beds, as that is why they claim their beds don't break down like other beds that have petro-chemical products in their foam that absorb heat and moisture, causing them to break down over time.

Bed shopping is a PITA yo :\

$4200?!???! That is like $1200 more than we paid...

be careful about the full latex beds. To me, they seemed too firm and held heat and... "moisture" too much.

At $4200, it is harder for me to recommend this bed, although I would still recommend it and will still say that it is the best best I have ever slept on...

Still worth it...
