n00ber: I can flip my pillowtop mattress since it has pillowtops on both sides.

Yes, you do have much fail.

You buy couches with hooks, but you cheaped out on your mattress, eh?

I bought my dual pillowtop kalifornia king mattress with my bedroom set at American Furniture Galleries 10+ years ago. I'll check the brand name on the mattress tonight - it was fairly high end and is still in excellent condition (flipped every time we change the sheets). I'm sure you can buy that brand at other stores.

THE best bed hands down. If you buy couches with hooks, you should get one of these.

I am not kidding. I have NEVER had a better nights sleep in my life. And you will never have to flip it.

Sleep train. All furniture stores are really hungry for business so make sure to shop. Everything is negotiable.

God damn. Those look nice but $$. May have to go check it out - the main reason for the need of a new bed is my wifes back. She's been having a lot of pain for the last few months and is coming to the conclusion that it's our current bed :\ We just bought it like 5 years ago too

Yeah those beds/mattresses are NICE!

On a side note, I've done some computer work for them and got a free Oxygen Pillow©, I <3 it.

I ended buying a Simmons Beautyrest queensize mattress (no hooks ) and only a single side pillow-top from Mattress Discounters. The best way to describe it is, it feels like I'm sleeping on a marshmallow, it's soft, yet firm.

SERIOUSLY, I cannot recommend this bed more. I have back problems too and this bed has virtually eliminated any issues. Same is true for my friend and my parents that I recommended this to as well.

Conventional wisdom is if you have a bad back, get a super firm mattress. This mattress and box spring combo supports without being super firm. They have you test different mattresses for firmness, and then measure you to configure the "box spring" to your measurements.

Think of it this way: you spend ~1/3 of your day in bed. Don't cheap out.

Don't get the pillow top, though.

I noticed it said they make adjustments for couples (different feel on different sides of the bed I'm assuming). Do you make an appt, go in and they fit you based on height/weight, then set it all up for you? What happens if my weight changes? Can it be readjusted?

Is that one like a tempurpedic?

I'm looking for a good mattress, but I can't sleep on foam mattresses. It makes my spine fall asleep (you know, like when a leg falls asleep) and I'm pretty sure that's not good for my brains.

I hear the tempurpedics are SUPER hot too but haven't ever slept on one to confirm.
