What parts of Sac to avoid. Input please
Hey Sac folks, My cousin is moving to Sacramento from texas. Her husband got a job in Davis, and I guess they are going to live in Sac.
She asked for my input but I dont really know
As far as them finding a spot, is there any areas they should absolutely avoid.
Mainly anything that looks like it would be ok but it is actually not a good spot to settle down.
Let me know, I am not very familiar with the area, so any input good or bad would be helpful.
Thanks in Advance,
Ryan

Honestly. If they are willing to commute just a tad bit. I would look seriously into the Roseville/Rocklin area. These places have about another 15-20 years in them I would say before they start becoming places people don't desire to live in anymore.
Most all of Sacramento is collapsing now. Davis isn't that bad but there isn't anything really of interest there.
Just have them take a look around at different places.
Stay away from the places listed thus far as well as: North Highlands, Citrus Heights, Fair Oaks, Orangevale, and surrounding areas.
These places aren't bad to live in but if they want to settle down for a while I would definitely recommend living a bit east in the Roseville area.

Well he said "settle down" in one of the posts he made so I made the assumption that wherever his cousin and her husband move to, they want to stay awhile.
Those places do in fact have some fairly nice places to live in. I work that whole area though and it reminds me of how Antelope used to be.
In about 5-10 years I don't think it will be a desirable place to live.
Just trying to help out a fellow I-clubber. >.<

I agree with Rocklin/Roseville. Close enough to sac, and much a good place to be right now. Personally (from experience) stay away from meadowview and natomas. Also North Highlands was a terrible idea from whoever suggested it.
