what to do when mail carrier loses your package?

So i ordered my tactrix cable monday. It was shipped as a 2-3 day thing. Thursday came along and i checked the mail (only letters were in there). Friday (today) I checked the website with tracking number. "we tried to deliver the package to you but nobody was home and a notice was left." So I went to local XXXX office and ask what has happened to my box..

Lady "hi, how ya doing?"
me "gimme my package"
Lady "ok I ned your ID and tracking number"
*hands over ID and tracking number*
Lady "I'l be back mmkay.."
--10 mins later--

Lady "I don't see your package anywhere..."
Me "I checked online and XXXX.com said the carrier left a notice but I didn't see it anywhere"
Lady "So can i see your notice?"
Me "I checked online and XXXX.com said the carrier left"
Lady "I get it I get it... gosh... I'l ask your carrier"
---10 mins later---
Lady "he said he has not left a notice at XXXX street on any houses"
(at this moment she actually printed out the XXXX.com report on my tracking number and was dumbfaced)
Lady "wow... something happend to your item..."
Me "yathink? gimme my item!"
Lady "leave your # and il call u as soon as i find where your item is at... "

so i left my number and bounced.

Goes home and call 1800 ask usps. oops was I not suppose to show their name .

Anyways they located my item *whew!* and said it is at 1110 23rd street.
The operator was in a rush because while I was yahoo mappin the street just to make shure she said "thanks for calling and have a wonderful day" I thought that was wierd...

Drove to 23rd street. WHATDOYAKNOW.... just houses and houses. No effin post office. went both ways.

I called local XXXX office and betch at them because the effin operator lead me to downtown for no effin reason!!

Now I am stuck with XPT stage 2 and NO cable to flash it into my car

Is it possible that the Cobb cable could work?

One of those "never know till you try" kind of moments.

They both go from diagnostic port to usb.

It should work. The cable is jsut an adapter from USB to OBDII connections, no different than USB -> Serial or similar.
