Car Info: 1993/2000/2001 GF4 mostly red
The legality has far more to do with emissions requirements than crash testing. Besides, very small numbers of imports like the 959s and other euro-only exotics wouldn't require crash testing.
And I'd take the 245/215 ecotec.

Plus, the GM motors come with a 5-speed, while the Honda motors get the 6-speed

For fun? - Probably a 2000 Lingenfelter Viper GTS
For the weekend track car? - Probably a Porche 911 turbo built up
For the daily driver? - Probably a BMW M3 or M5
For the wife? - Minivan (hey, somethings gotta cart the kids and grocerys around)
The showoff-moblie? - McLaren F1 Supercar
For the winter? - Toyota Tacoma or a sweet 4runner
I know I didn't mention any subarus but, hey, I just won the lottery. I can get anything I want.

I don't like 959's as the current uber-supercar, I love them as a historical piece, and being able to drive one legally as a part of history is just cool.
I would rather have a 993 Turbo S than a 996 Turbo, even though the 996 is faster, and I'd rather have a 73 RS than either of them.
