Aaron said there was a place down in Santa Cruz that was bringing them into the country as well
maybe he can follow up with that ...

you can arrange your purchase thru Carlsen Porsche up in Redwood City.
they had a few on display at the last PCA meet.
here is a link to the autoweek article in regards to the 959 availability in the states thru Canepa.

Bruce Canepa, of Canepa Designs, would beg to differ with your claim that only Mr. Gates has a 959.....and Bill's isn't street legal, it's here under federal Show & Display legislation only (which Canepa helped push through as well)

Bruce and his team have reengineered the original Bosch electronics to incorporate cats and O2 sensors into the 959, including ECU reworking and reconstruction, to the extent that his conversions are recognized by CARB, EPA and all 50 states as fedralized, emissions legal, and street legal.
Bruce is a great guy, with a passion for motorsports and classic Porsches, and has given quite a gift to the Porsche community with all his work. I discovered his conversion shop by accident, walking by and seeing 8 959's in the midst of being rebuilt, and he was always running up and down Hwy 1 in a burgundy 959 with black wheels. The Canepa cars are running near 600hp and still represent the ultimate in Porsche supercars, with considerably more exclusivity than the new CGT's.
Without Canepa, Gate's 2 959's that sat in crates in Oakand customs for nearly 10 years would still be sitting there.....
