Get these man. They're awesome for cold weather.
How cold? I'll be out for extended periods of time in sub-zero temps. I know Outdoor Research products are quality, just trying to find the best/most cost efficient solution for my needs.

I wish cold weather gloves were jet fuel resistant, stupid gas is already taking some of the waterproofing off of my 2 week old Gore-Tex pants/coat. RRrrrrr

I've used them in 0-20 degree weather with pretty good results. Granted I choose them because my hands had to say usable (I could have gotten huge gloves but then firing a weapon can be a PITA). I recommend them but at the same time I don't get cold very easily. In fact I love cold weather. Go to http://www.blackhawk.com/product_cat...p?cat_id=45&d= and look at what they've got. Their stuff is top notch and I have never been disappointed with the many items I've purchased from them.

I'm a huge fan of Blackhawk too The issue is that I need abrasion-resistant gloves that I can work in, and won't soak up dirt and whatnot (fleece is a no-go). I basically need something with a leather palm and fingertips, removable liner, waterproof, etc. And the good gloves around that price range are like $100+. And I need a windproof baclacava, which will most likely be Outdoor Research.

Gee, I wish the Air Force actually issued us the stuff we need. Longjohns + Gortex will only get you so far.

It's funny, because a buddy of mine from HS that joined a year after I did, got 'deployed' to Germany and got to live in a 4-star hotel. I've wasted 8 months of my life in the desert, in a tent. So there.

He was in the Air Force though right? I've only stayed in super nice hotels on the Army's tab when I visited Washington D.C. for pretty important meetings (stuff concerning the new BCTs). Other than that it's a GP small and an MRE to survive. Go Army!!!!!
