The '06 just feels like it has so much torque.... my butt dyno must be calibrated well cause the 06's are dynoing like 20 more whp.. i also like the fact that they improved the aerodynamics on the 06... oh yeah and i like my 4 pot red calipers

It's amazing how much a good/****ty driver make

Just like the people only doing 15's in a stock STI

If I had to chose between the two, I would No doubt get an 06... They aren't that much faster stock(even though people have been able to get in the 13's stock) but after you chip them and start modding them... an 05 will never catch you, with just a chip in an 06 you can go STI hunting!! "There is no replacement for displacement".

usually the mags (R&T, C&D, etc.) are fairly consistent.

Good luck with your car purchase. If I were you, I'd go to autowest subaru though. Maita is nothing but trouble.

Sry to hear that, i went to senator when i was looking for a WRX, they seemed ok.... i also went to autowest & they seemed kinda pushy (thats where i tested the '05) and they were trying to talk me into the '05, maita was the only dealer in sac with '06 sedans when i was looking... i actually didnt think i was going to find one and i was like literally like 5 min. away from signing the papers on an SRT-4

Gold Rush up in Auburn is the most "laid back" local dealership.

I talked to a really cool salesman at AutoWest the other day, not pushy, I just said I was there for some parts and he said if I had any questions let him know. We talked about mods a little and he seemed to know his shtuff.

What about for those of that live off 80 WEST of Sacramento? By Vacaville!? I don't want to drive an hour and fifteen minutes to either of those places.

I bought my STI through Maita and they treated me great, they greated me the second I came up to the door. Autowest on the other hand treated me like a second rate citizen, like because I was a kid I couldn't afford a car... I literally had to walk up and ask a salesman if he could help me... It was complete bull****, I bet they would be happy to know that I payed cash for my car and because they profiled me they basically kicked out a for sure sale... Plus it didn't help that the only white STI in the valley at that time was at Maita... I also got a pretty decent deal for my car!

Actually the reason they are so consistent of each other is because alot of times a single person will write a review on the car(1/4 mile times, etc etc) and then sell it to all of the main magazines, which is why they always have the same times down for the car. It's not always the case for every car though...

Atleast that is what I have heard...
