Street racing crackdown on sunrise

Big article in today's sacbee paper. One guy was ticketed for doing over 100mph on sunrise. Chp, Sac county sheriffs, and citrus heights police were out in force. They will have to out there every weekend to make a dent.

which sux because I live in Citrus Heights and so it would be best for me to stay off the streets from 8 - 12 at night to avoid any trouble.... damn those racers!!!!

Just remember cops are never to far from a doughnut shop (crispy creme). With more tickets comes more revenue.

With scrap steel prices sky high, Citrus Heights & CHPD could add to the coffers by investing in a portable crusher to use on any vehicle either actively participating in or merely watching street racing.

Street racers are vermin and should be treated as such.

OK that was a little harsh...I was refering to the hard-core F&F types.
Now, a little stoplight-to-stoplight action between two mature combatants is acceptable.

The crackdown has lasted all summer long and from what i read in the paper it is going to last a long time. Too many deaths and complaints from angry citizens (soccer mom's that drive caravans) . Racing stop light to stop light is awesome but racing to 100mph is crazy. I bet arnold schwartzenegger would never back down from a challange at a stop light.
