I may be mistaking, but I heard you could put straight pipes on your car. . . as long as you meet smog and volume requirements.
If you can, see if some lawyer will give you some free advice. They usually like to try to go get their names out a little more.

it's too bad that us subie guys get noise tix, etc for our nice, deep toned exhaust. If anything, some of those hondas should get some friggin tickets for sounding like they have a pepsi can attached for a muffler...

it happened to me once...speeding ticket from a PD...
foud out something interesting though...
CHP's get paid to testify...
PD does not, AND they have to schedule one of their days off to come in...
so they normally don't show, unless you really ticked them off or they have a large case load all on one court day.
