If you haven't cracked a Beckett in 10+yrs then DON'T. It'll make you sick. I wish I could kick everyone that told me to keep my cards directly in the *****.
There was a time when my collection was worth a lot. Had numerous cards and complete sets worth well over $50. Couple worth $100-200+. Had a special box for cards worth over $10 in those 'cardsaver II' cases that was filled to the brim.
Now i'm not even sure they're worth the cardboard they're printed on. Went to a local comic/card shop to see if I could sell the entire collection for a couple hundred dollars. The owner chuckled before telling me sorry.

My cousin has somewhere in the range of $50k worth of baseball cards. He has every single Cal Ripken Jr. card ever made, in mint condition. Makes me wish that I had kept all my cards.
