so here's a business etiquette question.
lets say, hypothetically, you work in a professional office. monday through friday, 9-5 work hours. lets say a peer in a different department calls your personal cell phone twice, leaves two voicemails, sends three e-mails all on a saturday morning, all regarding some bs matter that can wait till monday. and lets say you didn't see any of this till around 2pm saturday, and his final e-mail cc's your manager with a weak (and bogus) attempt to throw you under the bus?
WWYD?

If it's something critical, that will help the guy not have to work the holidays, or somehow save/make the company money, I'd call him. The goodwill you'll create with the guy could pay off later. If it can really wait, and you're not obligated to be available 24/7, ignore till Monday at 9:45.
i also pointed out to him that it was not a critical issue, and that him bombarding me with voice mails, e-mails, and escalating this to my manager before i even had a change to reply (on the weekend!) was not conducive to a "team environment" and that I did not appreciate it.
