Where did the manufacturer cut cost to still be profitable?
Plus no V1 has ever become obsolete. Send it in for a software or even a hardware update for a minimal fee and stay on top of things. Try getting any other detector updated.

+1 for knowing your surroundings and to not speed around overpasses and just keeping an eye out
I can think of many of other things I can get for $400 instead of a radar detector.

i'd still get a radar detector just to be sure. its not really the ticket thats a problem, its usually the insurance.

I know a radar detector that has NEVER failed.... It's called the "Don'tSpeed" Radar detector


unless you are talking about driving on i-5, my right foot literally won't let me go under 90mph on that freeway
