Sad turd ay?

Good morning, guys.
I'm a big, fat procrastinating bastard. My wife's graduation ceremony from UC Davis is tomorrow, and I still haven't gotten her a gift.
I have no friggin' clue what to get her, and funds are tight right now (my car needed new tires last month, I had to buy a plane ticket to visit her parents this Christmas, yadda, yadda, yadda).
Does anybody have any legitimate suggestions as to what I should get her?

Women take gift cards to be too uncaring so thats out, don't get house hold cleaning appliances, don't buy clothes unless you KNOW she would wear it or it IS her size. Is there anything she's been hinting at or something you've noticed she said she wish she had or would like to have?

Generally speaking, I fail at reading mixed-messages and understanding subtle hints. I R dumb in that department.
She has said that she'd like the "Sex in the City" DVD box set, but not specifically for graduation per se, and it just doesn't strike me as an appropriate graduation gift.

I say get your wifey the sex and the city dvds then for christmas if you can swing that since you don't think it would be an appropriate gift for grad. When you choose a gift give it deep thought..makeup, clothes, chocolate, etc are bad...because she'll give it the typical woman logic:
Makeup - you think I'm not pretty enough for you and want me to be different
Clothes - you get the wrong size and either say she's fat or she isn't skinny enough
Chocolate/food - you want me to get fat and you won't love me
GLIA on when you venture out to get that confusing gift

Thanks, but I already have her Christmas present ready to go. My question is, are the DVD's an appropriate gift for graduation? I dunno, I'm truly gift-giving impaired. Paul can vouch for that one.
BTW Paul, thanks for the advice, my wife liked her birthday gift.

If thats what she asked for then go for it. Easy way to score points by showing that you "listened" to her and remembered
BTW Are you at the bomb shelter today or just up this early?
/me goes back to watching Top Gear on google video
