Schafer has bronza rota torques and oem hood. But his car does sound bad-assed.

Would a cat really make that big a difference in noise? I was under the impression that it wouldn't.

I think he had an Invidia DP. Removing the down-pipe with the two catalytic converters make the biggest difference in noise, the up-pipe has probably the least impact on noise as i couldn't tell the noise difference before and after the up-pipe. It was just loud.

Not that I saw it anywhere near Sacramento, but it was going the same way. I saw a blue STi, silver wheels - looked stock, but with some kind of tribal sticker on the rear window, last Friday around 2pm going North I5 near Paterson. I was in the white SUV w/govt plates tailgating your ****.

I think Egan has tried both catless and catted downpipes on his previous ride. IIRC, his web pages gave noise levels as the primary reason why he went with the catted downpipe but I don't know how much difference the high-flow cat made in sound level.

I saw sicmach or whatever her name is going up Sunrise. Loud? Yes, but I kinda liked it. I can definately see why she got some attention from the PD.

I saw BlackVenoms buddy tonight - Sac State, black/silver STi, BOV of some sort. He waved. Nice guy.

Does he have a TBE? It was pretty funny because he followed me out of the garage from the fourth floor and if my car didn't set off the alarm of a parked vehicle, his sealed the deal. We must have set off 8-10 alarms on the way down the garage :rotfl:

Yeah it was definately loud during tuning, I wonder if it was just getting dynoed or was it being tuned. I was only thier for a little while? I also got to see my pistons and rods yesterday And next up is a tranny and then the heads will be worked.
