John and I got there at about 8pm and the first thing that we hear is that the slip printing machine is down, but you can go to the tower and see it/have it printed there. My first run I had no traction in first, so I tried a lower launch on the 2nd run, that was followed by a bog. Lol.
I looked for my tire pressure gauge that I normally keep in the glovebox, and of course, it wasn't there . Amazingly, all these big ol' RWD cars were out there and NOBODY had a tire pressure gauge.
So for my fifth and final run, I decided to just blindly let out some air in the hopes of lowering the 12.5's I was seeing all night due to traction issues. It worked and I netted an 11.90 but I wasn't expecting it to hookup so I didn't launch as aggressively as I could/normally would have.
Sadly, they closed the track at about 9.15p and I couldn't get in another run. Knowing that, I hauled *** to the tower to get my slips, and the guy was leaving and just said, "your car was fast! 11.90 @ 119 was the best here" but he would not go back and get my slips
Internet horror story! No proof...Sorry haters! I'm not too upset because setting records at the drag strip isn't really my goal
Sorry for the long read.
