I don't know if you're still open to opinions on tuning, but here's my take. I've had a couple cars (Nissans) tuned at motdyn, as well as certain parts installed. I haven't had my Subaru tuned by ss, but I did have them install my up-pipe. I've had both good and not-so-good experiences with both. However, from what I've seen on this forum and the other cars at the meets, you'll probably be much more satisfied with ss when it comes to Subarus. Not to say that motdyn doesn't know their stuff, but there probably aren't too many in Sacramento who know Subarus more than ss.
