I've heard of this happening with several of the drive-by-wire scoobs, including the N/A models.

Sorry, work's a *****

We'll figure something out next week, let me know when you're back in town. Really tough for me to do stuff during the week.

This happens on my 03 WRX also. I thought I was shifting wrong, but when I try to disengage the clutch later the car jerks, like I am not shifting properly, (which I am not). I then realized that I did not notice it before I installed my lightened flywheel...makes sense. The lighter flywheel now magnifies what the throttle is doing, therefore throwing my RPM's up all over the place. Is there a way to correct this? Besides replacing my throttle cable setup...custom tune maybe?

My 02 does the same thing, but it is more pronounced when I shift at 4k or higher. I have spoken with other members about it, and have gotten the response that it is from the ECU switching the open loop/closed loop. On an 04, a tune might get rid of it, but I can't say for sure.

Unless you are full throttle... it isn't switching from open/closed loop
