That's why I didn't tell the whole story, not only will you break my ***** for telling it, but no one cares anyway, so I left it at that.

Yeah that's smart...drift in an area with lotsa trees on the side of the road.

He must've been playing too much Ridge Racer for PSP. His family should sue Sony for allowing him to play Ridge Racer PSP.

The reason people aren't seeming compassionate is becuase the kid appears to have been doing 80+ down Fair Oaks, in a 4Runner, in the middle of the night. with ~2 years of driving experience. Do you know what kind of speed and force it takes to separate a Toyota truck from it's chassis completely? We're not playing games here.
That's a populated area, has lots of hidden driveways, animals, etc.
Not to mention the limit is what, 45?
So he's double the limit, in a big truck, at a time when there's low visibility in a somewhat residential area.

I feel for the kid's family, I feel for the kid's friends, but I'd expect the same kind of "head shaking" responses from you guys if I did the same thing. What the kid didd was reckless, completely unsafe in an inappropriate vehicle, and he paid the ultimate price. It's not that it's not sad, but I'm not going to keep going "poor kid, poor kid" when he made multiple very stupid choices while at the helm of a 5000 pound weapon.

What would have happened if he had hit another occupied car?

You hang out with high school boys?

Did Michael Jackson touch you when you were younger?

When I was in highschool, I had friends die doing some ****ing STUPID ****. This guy I knew, daddy bought him a g3 GSR and he was racing his friend down this backroad that was known for claiming teens lives (Wolf Rd. up in Auburn). He lost control because he was doing like 110 and went straight in to a tree.

Yeah we were sad.

Man that was ****ing stupid.

I don't mean to be callous, but you'd think people would learn that driving 100+ down a street lined with trees is a STUPID move. The information is available to them so they should know. And if you're going to put yourself in that position, by racing like a dumb ***, when you should know it's wrong, you need to know what you're doing, and speeding at 80+ down fair oaks in an SUV proves that he did not know what he was doing.
