Red Light Camera Advice?? (Roseville-Douglas/Eureka)

I'm looking for anyone familiar with the Red-Light camera at Douglas/Eureka in Roseville. Here's the dealio... I was doing the daily grind on South-Bound Eureka and was stopped at the red light on Douglas. The left turners in the North Bound direction on Eureka finished their turn in front of us and were completely clear of the intersection when my signal turned green. I waited the requisite 1/2 second and started accelerating into the intersection along with the rest of the SB Eureka traffic. About 5 feet into the intersection, the red-light violation camera decides to flash us while the SB traffic signal is still green.

Has anyone else experienced this? Does this camera have radar built into it? I might've been coming in a bit fast when I stopped at the red light, but there's no way it could think I ran it.

Any pertinent advise would be appreciated, thanks!

anyways i wouldnt worry about it at all... if you were doing the right thing, then theres no need to worry.. i sat there one night watching the flashes and i could never understand it, untill i thought that maybe it was just a really intelligent system where if the computers think they are coming upon a violater, then they will snap a pic... but just an FYI, i have has my picture takin from various intersections, probly about 5 or 6 times, and not once have i gotten anything in the mail...

I was approaching Douglas on Eureka southbound and had a green light. Some guy in a truck in the left hand lane (it was red) decided he wanted to go straight. He cut me off with the manuver and the interesting thing was that the red light camera flash went off. I'm kinda surprised that the camera could tell the difference between the left hand lane and through traffic. Hopefully the moron in the truck was mailed a ticket.

i got a red-light ticket in the mail from the guy who bought my integra about a month after i sold it...
there is normally 2/3 views of the "crime"...
one front shot showing car/driver, one close up of driver's face 9wasn't me in the pics!) and one of the front plate (the reason they're so strict on front plate violations) and
one off the car & intersection from behind...the back shot is aimed to show the lights also, so you can clearly see the violation cuz the lights in the photos will be red.
there was two shots...one before (showing car w/o brake lights on headed to the line & red light) and one during (car halfway across intersection w/ light still red)

i assume the photo thing snaps a picture every cycle in antisipation of someone violating the light and then would snap again after someone actually crosses the line.

The new systems like the one at Sunrise and Cirby are full on video and they will get about 60 frames of you. Don't follow me. I brake hard on yellow.
