Prairie City (Fun In The Sun) RX May 15/16

Ok, it's barely more than a month away, so clear the weekend of the 15th and 16th for two separate days of rallycross, so if you can only make one day that's fine. It will be at least a 4 event season with one drop, so everyone can still have a chance at winning their class.

I'll post more info as it comes up. Initially though, because the event on Sunday after Jons (UP2MTNS Invitational event) in September being another SCCA National Challenge event, I'm planning the May event to follow SCCA rules to allow people to know what to expect at these events. Reason why, I will be working to get the Western States National Championship to be held at Prairie City next year, so I want folks ready to do well if we can get folks from Socal/Oregon/Utah and even Colorado.

So back to the May event, anyone wanting to help with different areas of a rallycross send me a pm and we can get details worked out.

http://www.myautoevents.com/pls/mae/...event_id=11421

You will need to register to be able to prereg, no prepay, cash at the event for registration.

Might make it out to this one. I'm kicking myself for not being able to make Vallejo.

I'm brand new to the whole rally cross thing...actually just barely got another WRX again, but I would love to participate and possibly help out if the schedule permits. Where can I find more information about this event?

Thanks.

d phantom, do you mean Vallejo from last year? or did you mean Santa Rosa 2 days ago?

dresk, glad you asked. Right now I'm working on more registration details, but the main point is show up Saturday May 15th by 7:30 and just be ready for some fun in the dirt. Also, most info will be found at the link below

http://www.dirtyimpreza.com/forums/s...452#post212452

So if you need another WRX in the future, I have an 02 for sale.

Thanks for the link, I'll plan on being there at 7:30...where exactly do you go though once you go through the gate? (never been there before). I actually just bought another WRX last week, so I'm excited to actually rally one. This should be fun, too bad it's the same days as the next autocross event though...oh well.

You'll go left and head to the east side of the park, maybe I'll need to put some cones out to make it easy. Autocross, yeah it can be fun, but Subies are better suited to rallycross. I started autocrossing in '99 rallycross in '03. They only compare if I autocross my shifter kart, but even that isn't as much fun as an STi in the dirt.

Look forward to meeting you out at PC.

I was just there today for the VORRA races..Are the RallyX's held on the same track? Is it timed laps or do we go heads up?

leftcoast, was the VORRA event muddy? Like Silas said, we set up in the VORRA track area, but we avoid jumps and rough areas.

Silas, I'll let you know.

If any of you would like some fun, come on down to Round Table Pizza tomorrow, Wednesday 21st. We'll be talking about the event, so it'll be more fun than the PcIG meetings at PC, Silas. Think of it as a Subie meet with my autocross club. They will be doing the important timing work for the event.

Come on out for pizza and you'll enjoy visiting with other car folks.

Man, I haven't done any of these events since 05 or 06. Very tempting ...

Definitely you should come out. If you went to Thunderhill before to do rallycross, this will be about 2 hours closer. Also, I go out there regularly to practice. I was out there today to test the timing equipment. Also check with Mr Silas, any free time to go is fun, only $5/day to get in.

Is this event going on all day? I have something that came up so I can't be there at 7:30, but possibly by noon. Anyone going out there for fun before the event?

dresk, I replied at DI as well, but yes, you should be ok, as long as you preregister. Just be sure to show up because the work assignment might have you work first, then run.

Prereg, closes Thursday at midnight, so sign up before then.

Are any of you going to be able to come out to the North Nevada Rally on June 4/5? I posted in the SF Bay Area forum but it's probably more appropriate in this one. I don't want to get in trouble for cross-posting though.

We could sure use some rally-knowledgeable volunteers.
