Parking lot drift session bust...

Around midnight, last night behind Kohls, where SRIC meet is in Natomas, there was a parking lot drift session. It was interrupted by police who brought out their big gun - the helicopter. I cant even begin to describe you how annoying the sound of peeling rubber is when one is trying to sleep. If they want to get caught why not get caught during the day?
Almost every weekend some losers decide to play around there at 2-3am in the morning.

Yea, side shows are pretty stupid. Sacramento does need to give those guys somewhere to slide around at though.

why? Sacramento doesn't need to do anything just because a few jackasses want to act like retards. Just because something is a fad doesn't mean the local government needs to give kids a place to do it.

I'm not talking about drift specific, just a big enough place where anyone can drive, any style. I know it's not a realistic request, we don't have the budget for that kind of thing, but if the city really wants to lower the amount of racing (in theory), they should consider building a city operated course. They could easily break even with entrance fees.

It will never happen, I agree with RussB. Can you imagine the liability, supervison and insurance costs? That would be a feild day for lawyers.
