Limited to 21psi - made a video comparison of the 19t to the 68hta..

the side-by-side comparison is a nice touch.

68HTA is the schiz.. Bang for the buck you can't go wrong..

The side by side was interesting.. The 68hta really stretched the 19t out up top.

I need better tires.. Even on a rollon from 20mph the tires just ripped loose and spun to redline in first.. Suprisingly they hook in second a bit better with the 68hta.. The 19t was just spin city 1st and second most of the time.. 19t has a realllyy violent and low down off-on boost.. 68hta is almost as nasty, but the tires seem to like it better..

Tires on there currently are crappy crappy are 215 - Hankook R-S2's.. Noooooo Traction.. The car pretty much just sits and spins in first from a launch.. Im poor now so I wont be able to upgrade the rims anytime soon.. On the hunt for some decent 225's for the 16's that will hook up a bit better / still have decent wear.. Car is a dd

Best I can figure based on tire size and RPM/gear and speed via GPS it looks like the ratios match a Type RA.. The car has a bit of a history.. Actually it once was married to an AP.. Some local tuner might actually know the car.

If it's not, when I nuke it, I'll probably swap to a 6 speed and piggyback DCCD controller. Dunno if I really want a 6 speed, but I'm not seeing another alternative..

I'm usually pretty nice to the trans.. I've got a decent amount of experience with high HP AWD cars / preserving drivetrains.. This thing has a lot of clutch, but it can be slipped pretty well on the 2step..

tks.

Yeah, the tune is conservative/rough until I get that MAF sorted. But it made for a good comparison of the two snails.. They were pretty much on the same tune..

I highly doubt you're on stock trans.

Hah.. We'll see.. Either way I wont cry if this one blows.. It's pretty noisy.. I don't mind gear whine, but I do get annoyed by a trans that rattles at idle when its hot..

Sounds like the preload is way off somewhere.. Dunno if its normal for a Scoob trans to be noisy at idle.. Every once in a while I will panic when rolling to a stop and think I hear some rod knock or a failing main.. Then I remember that this trans sucks and hit the clutch and the sound goes away as soon as the trans spins down..

*Edit.. Its not THAT loud.. I'm just super conscious of what the car sounds like.
