But I know what you mean, it does feel like it's going to fall apart every time. I'm planning on getting a better spring for the clip, to improve loading, and find some way to smooth out the reinforcing ribs in the chamber area so that the action is smoother. If you look at how the bolt goes back and forth inside the chamber, the o-rings rub against the ribs inside, and methinks that over time it will wear out the o-rings.
Yeah, I already had to go into the magazine. You are probably not going to get much better loading. The mag design is horrible, and you will likely have more problems than benefits.

I was thinking about tossing some bondo in the chamber to smooth things out...

then I remembered...

it's just a toy gun. :rotfl:

In reality, the mag design isn't too bad, it auto aligns the shells as they pop into the second-or-lower slots. But in the same respect, it's a pain getting the first one or two shells to stay in the mag, before there's worthwhile tension on the feeder spring.

Yeah, it's a cheap toy gun, but it's fun. And the engineer in me says 'I can make it better!'

The problem with the mag is the spring. If it's too strong, it will kink. The method for keeping it straight is pretty janky. Mine already broke and I had to go in and fix it. If you can get a box spring it'd be better.

This needs to go back up because I found out yesterday, that my daughter is old enough to get in battles with, now. Mommy was not happy.
