Lightbulb Need help! Install new factory boost solenoid

I have a 02 wrx and I'm only running 7.5 of boost instead of 14.5 I've checked if I have vacuum or exhaust leak but there's no leak at all. I think my factory boost solenoid is broken but I'm not sure yet 'till my new solenoid arrives.

Can anyone let me borrow thier factory boost solenoid for 5 minutes so I'll make sure mine is bad or not before my new solenoid arives.

Installing the new solenoid is super easy and takes less than 5 minutes. Just pull the cover off the top (two turn screws) and it will be obvious.

Did you buy the car new or used, and does it have a reflash by any chance?

If it has an ECUTEK or Prodrive reflash, you may have switched it to the low boost map by mistake or if the batery was disconnected. When at WOT, press the rear defrost button and it will switch back to the other map if this is what is causing the problem...

Red face

First of all, what is "WOT" mean

I bought my car 3 months ago from the dealer and it is a used car. I think the previous owner installed a MBC before and now I think the factory boost solenoid is broken. I think the ecu is stock never been reflush but I'm not sure.

Car off.
Turn key forward without starting.
Push gas pedal to floor.
Hit rear window defrost button.
Turn off key.
Now start and test drive.

It's super easy. I had to replace the one on my 02 WRX after running an MBC for several months.

What would happen if you install the hoses wrong? Will it mess up right away?
