So my company got me this really cool Blackberry 7105t through T-Mobile. It's the first cell phone I've had that gets perfect reception at my house. I was leery about the Blackberry functions and input, but it is actually a really useful tool...
... that is, until I walk in the door at Intel. I sit less than 50 feet from the building edge and I have zero signal. This means my cell phone is completely useless. Even if I stand at the wall at the edge of the building I can't get a signal.
I am contemplating switching over to the other provider my company has - Cingular. Any words, good or bad about them? A lot of the Intel folks use them and get reception in the building, so that's a huge plus over T-Mobile right now.

When school only takes 9 months you don't get as many days off.

I like cingular, haven't had problems, unless I'm down by Dan and Kathleen's place in Elk grove. There's no service there. But on the flip side I get pretty good coverage through the pass to Reno.

i get good reception from Cingular. I work in a building that used to be EMI shielded back in the air force days, and i still get at least 1 signal bar.
their customer support has really come around lately, i just had my RAZR replaced under warranty, no hassles at all. I called and spent about 5 minutes with tech support while they diagnosed the problem, then they ordered me a replacement phone with return packaging for the busted one. 2 days later i had it.

i am still with them on an old TDMA plan rolled over from AT&T...
they still try to get us to "upgrade" to the GSM service but it's more expensive than our original AT&T plan, less coverage at our house (mountains) and the phone credit they're offering is less than what we have now and honeslty is a joke! (~$50 credit per line and we have had our phones for over 3 years now each)...i think if they want to get us to convert over they'd better put a free ROKR on the table for me and the wifey before we'll talk...otherwise i'll try to switch over to Verizon which is still CDMA and we'll have strong signal at our house.
