there was even mention in the bee about this dragnet stuff, they said they pull over anything and everything that looks modified in any way... but about 2 paragraphs down they made mention that sacramento had alot of modified import cars, i think its kinda unfair to target just "imports" but i guess thats what happens when several HUNDRED (maybe thousands) idiots violate their rights, the liberties of every1 else get taken away.. but just a heads up as this thread is meant to do, lets not make the news and keep everythign on the down low

Honestly, Street racing is obviously bad and ****ing retarded to do, but Drunk Driving deaths FAR SURPASS street racing deaths, hell I think there is more drunk driving deaths across America in a month then there is street racing deaths in the US in a year... Do you see huge Drunk Driving Stops? No, you see a DUI check point where most semi-drunk people can fake their way through, and these only come out on major holidays...

They won't stop street racing, I think they should direct their attention more on Drunk Driving then street racing, IMHO.

street rac3rz are much easier to target than drunk drivers. honestly, with all stereotyping aside, a car with fart cannon, huge wing, and spiky haired young driver is more likely to be a street racer than a 40 year old guy in a bmw is to be a drunk driver.

I just try to be normal...I never really make myself vulnerable to being noticeable in traffic. Usually if you drive like everyone else, you'll be ok...oh and stick next to the loud a$$ hondas!

It's all so shady. Have you ever been to a Kings game? There is stupidly drunk people sitting EVERYWHERE, literally no matter where you sit there will be at least 4-6 drunk people next to you... Go stand in the parking lot, you watch drunk as hell people get into their cars and drive off like they are perfect...

Why don't they ever do a check point outside of Kings games? Because it will back up traffic to much? In my opinion it has NOTHING to do with the safety of the people, or the fact that it might slow people down to do a check point outside the game... I think Arco has a deal with the city, because if they started doing check points the money Arco Arena makes during a Kings game on those 8 dollar beers would DROP!

It makes No sense at all. Why the **** are they pulling over people because they have a spoiler, and looked lower? Even if he is driving the speed limit and following all traffic laws, the officer can pull him over and harass the **** outta him even if his car is 100% legal! Which IMO is complete Profiling and 100% harassment. Why don't they spend the money on ACTUALLY STOPPING STREET RACERS!!! Not Stock STI's (heard endless amounts of story's about stock sti's getting pulled over)Honestly, if you look at the 'street scene' it's not very hard to figure out where they are going every night to do the illegal races. Why not just follow them every friday/saturday... Block them in and have a field day on them all, since every single person even WATCHING can get 8 points on their license, and loitering fines ON TOP OF their illegal modifications... But no, what do they do at the illegals, normally one officer comes.. turns on his lights... pulls over... and doesn't pull over a single person!!! If they are trying to stop street racing so much why aren't they stopping actually street racers? Makes no ****ing sense to me

....Just... damn.

Cops enforce the policy they are given to enforce. They don't make policy.

I mean, a Cop couldn't do a good job if he decided to never cite someone for illegal modifications because he disagrees with the policy, just like you couldn't do a good job if you refused to give people their fries with their orders because you know fries are unhealthy.
