Looking at getting another subie....

But instead its an 05 Legacy GT.

Is there that much difference between this and my old WRX in terms of road noise? Its been a while since I had my WRX...

Also is FIA motorsports a reputable shop to have done the mods to this car that are done?

Engine/transmission (installed by FIA Motorsports):
Brand new 2007 STI block
PE 1820 turbo (new with block)
Custom front mount intercooler (made by TDC Tuning)
Perrin big MAF intake
APS turbo inlet hose
Helix 860cc injectors
TGV deletes
Full 3” custom turboback exhaust with cat
Exedy clutch and lightweight flywheel
Kartboy short-throw shifter

Tuned with Cobb Accessport

Suspension (installed by LIC Motorsports):
GP Motor fully adjustable coilovers, height and dampening
Cusco front/rear swaybars
225/40/18 Falken Azenis on 18x8” Krimson K2 rims (rims not readily available in U.S.)
Also included are the 4 stock tires (Potenza RE92’s) and 17” rims.

Electronics/other (installed by local car audio company in Reno, NV):
Memphis 12” subwoofer with custom linoleum box in trunk
Memphis front speakers
Memphis amps
Prestige alarm system with 2-way remote
Hardwired for Valentine 1 radar detector
Boost and EGT gauges, custom install in "cubby" above stereo, match stock gauges

and how crappy of mileage should I expect with this setup?

not very good, but why would you buy a vehicle like that if you were worried about gas mileage.

If you're worried about gas....get a honda or something. Honestly my wrx is okay on gas I guess (22-23mpg city&hwy mix) With those kinda mods I doubt you'd see excellent gas...maybe around 17-25ish mpg.

As far as installs...I typically go to LIC for whatever I need done. I've been going there for almost 3yrs now with a few cars and perfect everytime and great quality work done. Can't really go wrong with LIC and definently worth the extra drive

But your LGT has the vagina option.
Cale's gets a tad better with an STi swap.

im sure that the 2% difference in drivetrain loss in my car makes a noticable milage difference

besides the reason mine gets bad milage is because i certain oversized white dude hasnt run it on his big fancy playdough factory.

My WRX only gets 18 MPG, this is mostly around town and Sunrise Blvd street racing. My only performance mods are an Accessport and K&N drop-in.

Unless the idea of certain mods is to get better gas mileage, most likely you'll be burnin' a ton more gas than what it is at stock (also depending on how you drive your car and what RPM is best) Get an ECU switch or somethin'. That way if you want gas saving ECU it'll be fixed at that, and then flip the switch and take full use of your mods.

I am not exactly worried, but I would like to be able to have OK mileage, and still have something fun to drive. If I didn't care about fun factor I would own a very boring Honda (no thanks. GF has one.), however I care about the driving experience.
I was able to get 29mpg with my WRX if I was very nice to it on the freeway on long trips. I would like to get 27-28 with a Legacy on the freeway, and maybe 23 around town. That would be acceptable to me. If that isn't really doable, then maybe I will just go back to another WRX... I was just hoping with the legacy to have something a little more comfortable, ie less road noise, slightly more interior room, etc. but still have that fun to drive platform that also looks nice.
