Local smog shops?

Anyone gone to a good smog shop close to Citrus Heights/Roseville some what recently?

The place that I took our cars to the last couple times doesnt do smog anymore

Any shops to go to or avoid?

Ill be putting on my stock exhaust so im not too worried about that.

I usually use the small shop on Harding in front of Big Lots. I think it's called Smog Stop. They'll take any competitor's coupons and are fairly reasonable on the visual inspection. Search online for coupons, you can usually find a 29.99 one to use there.

Just gotta find a competitor's coupon online somewhere...

EDIT: Quick search yeilded this. I'd call ahead just to double check they still take other's coupons.

here's a $39 place, but I've never used them.

I'm a car dealer and in all of town i only go to one guy. hes seriously the best. hes kinda weird but super chill. Wont do anything illegal BUT will help you out if he can.
his number is (916) 349 1138 Nick
You wont be disappointed just tell him Andrey sent you. he takes $40 from me but that's because he smogs like 10 cars a month for me. he charges 45 regularly.

well took the car into the Smog Stop and passes just fine.

BUT i was a little sketched out before they got to my car. One guy came back in a Jeep yelling and screaming because they didnt lock his hood down and once he got on the freeway it blew open and hit his windshield. The windshield was busted and his hood was dented.

Then 15 mins later another car pulls up and tells a smog tech that they left a tool on his car. Some HUGE pliers like a foot long hanging under his rear bumper... Needless to say I was thinking about walking away and not having them work on my car.
