Knowing your car and your limits...
i know a lot of us are tempted to push our cars and see what they can do. i admit. i like pushing my car to a cartain extent at times but it all depends on where and when. Now when i was working today i was driving in downtown sac. around 9:30pm on I st. and i saw a 06' cgm sti racing a black sentra s-er. and in the back of my head i'm thinking why? is it really worth getting caught racing.

Very true. Whether its an SE-R or a some punk kid in daddys camaro trynna get a pissing match started, it just isn't worth it. Spending $15 to take it to Sac Raceway so you have unquestionable bragging rights and guaranteed immunity from the popo?............so worth it! And guaranteed Johnny Law is will go a lot easier on you if he catches you having your fun on the twisties compared to the hell you'll have to pay if you get caught street racing with another car.

^^Definitely some BS going on there. Know your rights people!!! As far as I know, the track and parking lot are private property all the way to the gate. I don't think they can perform an unwarranted engine bay search on private property especially since the car could have been trailered there. As far as what happens when you get on public roads once leaving the track, true its pretty ****ed up that the popo sit and wait to pick people off as they're leaving but as much as it sucks, you're back under their jurisdiction.
