Just installed Perrin uppipe, can help

Yep, installed Perrin uppipe. It was a pain on the *** removing OEM uppipe, had to disconnect passenger side motor mount, lift engine up, drop exhaust manifold down. Had to discard EGT, put 2.2 kOhm resistor in order not to have CEL.
I'm happy with new upgrade, can feel the difference.
If any of you are gonna go with the same modification let me know. Will help with advice and also can wrench on ur car if u live close enough.
Just thought I can help some fellow members

Who said that?
My car was tuned with uppipe , then previous owner took it off before selling the car to me. So, basically I got my car tuned but with all the parts removed...only because previous owner was too cheap to sell the car with all the mods

Just have Paul take a looksies.
At least it will be money well spent so you don't blow something up.

what do you mean? Everything is fine. I don't have to go to shops, I have enough brains to figure it out, I wrench on my shiet myself. I said my car runs perfect, I can help if ppl need any advice. That was point of this thread

not tuned is not smart, something like an uppibe is a big deal when it comes to the safety of the car, just be safe and take it to a tuner of your choice.

my friend put 80,000 miles on his bugeye with aftermarket uppipe pushing his EJ20 pretty hardcore and nothing blew up. On the other side....if something blows up, it's even better, I have reason to go with 2.5 block and bigger turbo cuz I never downgrade or go with the same shiet

I did the same thing with my '05 WRX. Gutted up-pipe (got rid of the egt and plugged the hole) and used the 2.2kOhm resistor and drove it that way for around 20k miles and am now at 118,000 miles with no engine problems. The front 02 sensor is in the manifold so it doesn't read any changes and the other 02 sensor is after the other TWO cats so it doesn't read any changes any differently than it would with normal on/off throttle. Of course a protune on a stock vehicle will smooth things out, make it safer for the motor and net a few more hp but just doing a catless up-pipe w/o a tune isn't going to hurt it. Untuned with a catless downpipe, on the other hand is a big no no.

Luis had it tuned for all those things, then came back and had it reflashed back to stock for smog or something like that. Then he asked for a ots stage1 map.
You may be handy with engines, but these cars need tuning when you mod them. I told you so many times already and every time its the same answer. So I gave up.
Your car is equipped with enough sensors to handle mild abuse and at least attempt to "adapt" to the mods you throw on it.
Unfortunately that is often not enough....up pipe/down pipe/exhaust is quite a bit more flow than its programmed to handle.
