I require assistance with picking a new cell phone.

Ok. My wife was recently promoted at work, and now finds herself needing an organizer to keep her on track with all the additional things she has going on. Coincidentally, she is also up for a new phone through Cingular.

She wants a device that will be her cell phone and organizer all in one. She will likely be doing email through her companies email system (using outlook) and needs a good organizer interface as well as a good phone.

Obvious choices - Treo, Blackberry, iPhone.

What say you? What would be best for her. This is more for work than for fun/entertainment, but if the iPhone is the best at everything I don't mind getting it.

Thanks.

Att has some bangin' deals on some Blackberries and the Blackjack II. I recommend both. I think she'll like the interface of the Blackberry better, and it's easy to setup e-mail on it. I would steer away from the Treo's.

If you even touch a treo, i'd point and laugh at you. Treo's are the biggest piece of **** on the market. I told my work this when they were buying the company phones, needless to say they did not listen to me and went ahead and purchased all the D.D. treo's.... They have had them oohhhh 3 months now, and every single one of them is complaining on how big of pieces of **** they are. I went through probably 6 of those expensive paper weights...

I have the HTC6800 love it, this is the newer version of the 6800. This time around my boss is taking my input on phones, and went ahead and tested the 6800. He gave it to a D.D. to test and he loves it compared to the Treo. I told them that the new version(one pictured above), has a tilt screen addition to make it easier to look at. He is going to see if Verizon will let them test it out...

They all have their own version of it, all made by HTC.

It's called the "Tilt" from Cingular

ya it's pretty dope. It's pretty much the same as the sprint one. The cingular one does have built in GPS on the phone.
It's more PDA then phone though.

Also... If you do go that route...

I'd highly recommend picking up this for it.

At first it makes it a little stiffer to slide the phone, but i've had it maybe a month now and it opens and closes just like it did. I have broken 3 of them by dropping them/throwing them. With this case, my current phone has been scratch free for 3 months

The ONLY fault I have with the phone is when you are using the touch pad, to call someone the numbers can be a little delayed to come up. Nothing tooooo annoying, but it's still noticeable.

I love my Blackjack. It was a vast improvement over the Treo. I miss the tons of shareware available for the Treo, but otherwise that thing sucked.

For a smart phone, the Blackjack is very thin and lightweight. It is a much better phone than the Treo (or anything else I've ever used). Plus it's not very expensive.

Of course it does have one downside - Windows Mobile.
