how much are you paying for insurance?

Im 24 male, my insurance company wants around 550 a month. No speeding tickets since i was 17. I've been involved physically in one accident in a toyota pickup. I had someone back into my wrx and my gf had an accident in it. but should that raise my rates? I was only paying 250 like 2 months ago. I recently paid my loan off on the car. Why do they want so much?

Accidents do of course raise your rates, but more than doubling is ridiculous. Is it just you and the WRX on the policy?

$1600/6 mos for my 2001 2.5RS, the only ticket on my record has since been expunged.

Edit: Oh, and I'm 21.

Company is USAA

I'm 25 and pay about 1020 for six months of full coverage.

1 ticket for speeding (doing 80 in a 70)
1 ticket for "drafting"

Now that I have a clean record, I need to see how much my rates dropped.

34, male, 3 cars including 1 STi, no tickets on record (knock on wood) = $2,200 / year.

But I have very high coverages due to owning a home and wanting to make sure I'm protected. I also have the maximum discounts since I have multi car coverage and my home through the same insurer.

edit: Allstate Insurance (home & auto)

Or keep them where they are and get an STi.

The insurance on the Lancer must be rough, it being so fast and whatnot.

That's not in there. Terri has her own insurance and we haven't combined them yet.

NO! BAD!

STI= Ed going loco. If I got an STI, I'd have to move somewhere off of sunrise.

I pay $850/6 months for just my STi, but that's with high coverage.

RC51 told me his STi cost more to insure than a late model Viper!

24, no tickets, one accident when I was 16, pay ~$900 for 6 months on a 05 Legacy GT w/ Allstate. Decent coverage. Not worst nor the best I could get.

Your rate went up too much. Have you called them yet to find out why insurance is so high. that seems like way too much.
