Or, do I need to wait for the 'blue plate' special, or 'attention Wal Mart shoppers', or 'call us now' BS to get up and running?

Hope I am not banned for wanting to throw up an avatar. Feel free to PM me how it it's done without a bunch of ego BS. Sorry, life is too short to put up with ***holes.
I hear reading is in style with people of your age...

The admins have a few different ways of establishing contributing users, which are the VIP members you see with avatars. This can include reviewing products to add to the review database, or various other tasks or contests that will pop up form time to time (first 5 people to do * will get an avatar, etc)
Go to the reviews section and start reviewing products. Once you complete (I believe) 20, notify site admin 'Wingless Wonder' and let him know. He'll check your reviews for content and quality and then enable avatar.

Wow... a lot of post to get to the truth. Never has an avitar meant so much to me. I will do my service and pull my own weight. Reviews I can do. I have been down every wrong path known to man. I am not a 'uber noob' in life or fast cars... (had a twin turbo Saab in the early 80's that ran mid 10's at the drags, and put many a BMW through the cattle fence trying to keep up) in fact, I may be able to share some thoughts on my own, to help the young not eat their own.

PS: Yup, if I am not chasing skirts... or getting in trouble with the law, I am indeed reading. Usually Subie Sport, or some other 'senior' rag. No worries, I just send the Mrs. out for some 'Depends' when things get a bit 'sticky'.

Did I mention the wife is 29? Can she be my 1st review???
