Aftermarket intakes don't really work with the ej20..

You can run an intake with AP, just not with any of their current off the shelf maps.

I'm running one 1/2 of the stock box with my Blitz induction cover that I have. It rubs pretty bad on the side of the fender I guess I'm too used to upgrading the intake from doing it with older cars that I've had, oh well, lesson learned.

I spoke with Paul@DBtuned today about Cobb AP, and he said that Injen intakes are alright with a Cobb and a custom tuned map.

Cohnster,

where did you get your AP? and how much?

Does anyone have any hard evidence that de-snorkeling/gutting airbox does anything for performance? (other than nifty intake growl :-P)

Everything I've seen indicates the power gains of intakes in the EJ20 are minimal and only exist when the car is tuned for the intake.
