42" DLP.. got it from Best Buy on sale. And since its DLP I got the 3 year warranty that will cover all my bulb replacements

its awesome for HD signal, but regular TV looks ok.. very pixelated

I know you're a computer guy, so you probably wont need this info. But you'll 1) want to see if your comp can run the TV's resolution, if not then 2) get a resolution forcing program.

yea I just use my laptop and a wireless keyboard/mouse so I can keep stuff hidden when its not in use

This is so much better than the 17" dell monitor I used to have in my room.

ohh and when I want to watch TV and go on my computer @ the same time...

yeah, I got the DVI cable and my card in the box I am going to use will support it. The wife is going to love browsing the intraweb and watching TV at the same time

There's a software issue with some of the Bravias and Grand Wegas (wont turn on or off via remote after 1200 hours of use).

Fortunately the Bravia is self updatable. Grand Wegas require a technician visit.

No but it does have the buggy software. They're sending something to fix it. I suspect it will just load via the USB port.

are they sending it automatically or do you have to register for it?

Uh. We got a letter in the mail. Probably got our address from circuit city where we bought it. Then I went to the site and put in the info. IT said we suck and asked for a mailing address to send the repair kit.
