All that needs to be said is that they are not CARB spec muffler bearings.

I'm just hoping that when I get pulled over the cop doesn't know anything about Boxer motors, and I am able to play stupid and he just won't know what's what. Not to mention I am hoping he doesn't know what an STI is so I can have a little leway on some of the performance stuff because it comes "from the factory" . I'm not to worried about it anymore really, the only time I ever drive the STI is to go to a track somewhere, so maybe once a week if that

^^ If you have a bunch of shiny stuff under the hood they'll bust you pretty quick. They can usually tell if you've got an aftermarket BOV too, but other than that, if your aftermarket stuff is black or the crinkle red intake on the STI, they probably won't see it.

Ya, I was thinking about Thermal Depresent Treating(or whatever it's called) All my Charge Pipes and the B.O.V i'm kinda screwed against no matter what color it is because of the size of it.
I am hoping if I get popped I can walk away with Intake, Blow off Valve, and exhaust being to loud. I am hoping that I can play off that on STI'S the cats are located on the headers which go under the motor, so you can't see them by looking under the car except for the final cat which is right there(point at resonator)

1) The FMIC is a "radiator"
2) The open wastegate is a "hole in the exhaust pipe that I need to get fixed"
3) The BOV is temporary to offset the hole in the exhaust in #2 above
In all reality, I'd be worried if I were you (at least when you actually drive the thing). We have had two SRIC members pulled over and the officers tried to cite them for the stock STi wing. Good thing one of them was carrying his Subaru brochure. So I don't know what is worse, being pulled over by an informed officer who will catch stuff that most wouldn't, or being pulled over by an idiot who will cite you for wings, strut bars, and grounding kits. Either way you'll be wasting time in court and possibly at the smog ref. Kalifornia sucks.
The funny thing is that my Titan is much louder than my STi, but I can roll right past cops and they don't think twice.

So far I have actually been really really lucky, every time I have driven by an officer he hasn't even looked twice at me. I drive like a saint now whenever I'm in my STI because I know of the fun fine that is gunna follow if I get pulled over for so much as going 1 mph over the speed limit...
Ya I'm not sure which is worse either, the FMIC will hopefully also be black, and you can't see where my wastegate dumps since it runs even with the downpipe then where the downpipe hooks back to go under the car it just stops right there. A very informed cop however will notice that my turbo could fit the factory turbo in the inlet on it, then it would be a FUN FUN time. If I have to be sent to a smog ref, I am going to sell my kidney so I can just pay the fine and hope I don't get pulled over again. If I get pulled over I will be SRIC'S BIGGEST *** KISSERS!!! I couldn't afford to go back to stock, if I can't just pay the fine and drive it on the street, it would be easier for me to just make the car innoperational and tow it to the track lol

I go to UC Davis, but I was up north in Redding (at home) 6 months back with my Eclipse (sold) and I was hassled...
I got pulled over, and I didn't have front license plate...and my tags were expired, but I had sent in the paperwork, and was waiting on the DMV...he tried writing me a ticket for the expired tags, and I told him that it said on the envelope that you can legally operate your car while the paperwork in the mail. Well, he said that he had never heard of this, and thought it was BS, so he asked me if I could show him this.
It was on the freakin envelope that I sent in to the DMV, so he goes back to his car with my license, insurance, etc to write me a ticket for the tags.
Well, I dug around in my glove box and found another DMV envelope and it had that on it. So I just held it out the window until he looked up and saw that....he walked back up to the car and took the envelope and looked at it, and sorta grunted....and then asked if he could take it back with him to his car...so he goes back there, and sits in his car for at least 20 mins. Then he comes back, hands me my stuff, and then he proceeds to walk around the car, looking under it, and just itching to find something on a visual inspection :-P In the end he just told me to get a front plate, no fix it ticket or anything..... I got off lucky I guess...

It is so not fair to bring that up again. That score was already settled long ago by "The World's Greatest Chef" - Adolf Hitler...
