Why would you buy "z06 heads" they are basically the exact same thing as an 01-02 LS1 and DEFINATELY not werth the money... It's not even werth buying a z06 cam, it's a only a few degrees different and has a FRACTION larger lift...

*shrug*

I'm not a huge American car guy, but 540hp and 500 pound feet naturally aspirated without crazy cams seems respectable to me. I love that RX7, very clean, nice and light, and fast as hell.

The owner was gracious enough to allow me to take it for a spin around the block.

That FD was indeed freaking awesome. I've read about other similar conversions to FDs, was very cool to finally see one in person. I didnt have the pleasure to hear it first come out, but the moment he fired it up to pull on the dyno, you knew it had to be something big under that hood

Thanks again Paul for letting the Chevelle on the dyno, and for the whole opening festivities, and sorry to everybody for smoking you all out of the garage

You are extremely misguided. The only things done to that ls1 are heads, a mild cam (under 230 duration) headers, and an intake manifold. The guy said the swap was extremely easy, the Ls1 only weighs 60 more lbs than stock. What "streetable" rotary makse almost 600 whp and over 500 wtq?

plus I would imagine parts/support/help is much more available for an LS1 as apposed to any rotary engine
