good muffler shop?
can anyone recommend a good muffler shop in the sac area? going to be wanting a custom exhaust made for my legacy, and i'm afraid i'm not too familiar with the shops around here.
if anyone has an idea on pricing for a 2.5" mandrel bent stainless steel (with hangers and flanges of course) set up (including cost of installing the muffler), that would be helpful too!

if you go to marco muffler over off of greenback, they will do that for around pboyl 150 or so.. my friend had a muffler and he took it to them and they did 2.5' pipe, hangers, and they had to convert the pipes in spots going from 2.5-3" piping... and they did it for i think it was 140 and they will put in flanges for like 10 or 15 bux...

Ya, I usually go to marco muffler too. They have a couple of shops around here. I don't think they have mandrel bent piping though, you probably need a performance shop willing to use cut pieces of mandrel piping to make an exhaust.

hmm, well that $150 sounds pretty good, but if it's not mandrel bent, then i probably don't want to go that route.
how much would Muffler Tech and Brake charge?

really? i kept hearing accord guys saying that they were using 2.5" piping with their F22s, i figured the EJ22 would use the same piping. i guess that's not as big a deal though.

The STI muffler has 2.25" piping as well, which lines up just right with the WRX midpipe and makes a nice seam. But, this setup is not loud at all, and probably doesnt make too much power but its better than dink stock piping.
WRX/STI/etc. stock exhaust go for cheap in the classified section, and it costs about $40 to have it re-welded/extended to fit, so its a non-expensive option.
Although, I did just realize I still have a full custom exhaust sitting in the attic. that might work on your legacy... Pic: http://community.webshots.com/photo/...50916115sIYxyl

somehting i've thought of doing for a while...
too bad mine isn't dual port [kicks 2.2l single port for good measure]
i'd make you an offer if it was.
was that setup quiet?
now i'm curious...how much you looking for the catback section?
i've got a 3" borla race muffler and full stainless tubing that i was going to dice up and reweld for my setup, but i'm affraid it's gonna be too loud.
if this is a reasonable price it might save me the time and hassle.
